This Privacy Policy explains how Zanora, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Zanora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Product Canvas (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. Your email address, which we use for passwordless sign-in, and any profile details you provide.
- Content you create. Briefs, requirements, PRDs, comments, alignment decisions, audit history, and other materials you submit to your projects.
- Collaboration data. Email addresses of reviewers and collaborators you invite, and their comments and review activity.
- Billing data. Credit balances and transaction records. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data. Log data, analytics events, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device information, and similar technical data collected automatically.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and deliver sign-in and notification emails.
- To generate AI-assisted requirements and other Output you request.
- To process credit purchases and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To understand usage through analytics and to develop new features.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. AI Processing
When you use AI features, the relevant content from your project is sent to third-party AI model providers to generate Output. We rely on providers that, under our agreements with them, do not use your content to train their foundation models. We do not use your project content to train our own models.
4. How We Share Information
- With collaborators. Content is shared with the collaborators and reviewers you invite to a project.
- With service providers. We use vendors for hosting and databases, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, AI processing, and analytics. They may access information only to perform services for us.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Zanora, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated content as described below.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@productcanvas.so. We will respond consistent with applicable law. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those emails.
8. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, gives you additional rights. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1: identifiers (such as your email and IP address), internet and device activity, approximate geolocation, and the content and commercial information you provide. We collect this information from you and automatically from your use of the Service, and we use and disclose it for the business purposes described in Sections 2 and 4.
We do not “sell” your personal information or “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of minors. Subject to legal limits, you have the right to know and access the personal information we hold, to request deletion, to request correction, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
9. European Privacy Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Zanora is the controller of your personal data. We process your data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (to provide and operate the Service); our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, and improving the Service and preventing fraud, balanced against your rights; your consent, where we ask for it (which you may withdraw at any time); and to comply with legal obligations.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. 10. International Users
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there or in other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
